Ingredients

  • 1 cup Sama or Barnyard Millets
  • 2 1/2 cup Water
  • 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
  • 1 Green Chilli
  • 1/4 cup Chopped Carrots
  • 1/4 cup Chopped French Beans
  • 1 Chopped Tomato
  • 5-6 Curry Leaves
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 1 tbsp Roasted Peanuts

Instructions

  1. Dry roast Sama in a wok for 10 mins on slow flame and keep aside.

  2. Heat oil and add cumin seeds, green chilli and curry leaves.

  3. Add vegetables (only if you want other wise just diced potatoes) with some salt and black pepper.

  4. Add tomatoes and cook a little bit before add sama and water. Adjust seasonings.

  5. Cover and cook till all water is absorbed.

  6. Mix some lemon juice and roasted peanuts, coriander leaves and serve.
