A simple and healthy upwas recipe for all ages to even snack.
Take a pan and roast the peanuts and remove the peels and keep them aside.
In the same pan heat some ghee and roast the Upwas flour. You can use any upwas flour like Rajgira, Singhara etc or even the mixed ones which you get in market. Roast till you get nice aroma from the flour.
Now add this flour in a mixer along with peanuts, cumin powder and mix it till you powder all the peanuts with the flour.
Take it out in a plate and add grated ginger , salt and green chilli, coriander leaves and with some lukewarm water knead it nicely and give it a wait time for 5 mins.
Then put on the steamer and make small balls out of the dough and flatten them a bit and put them up for steaming on a greased plate. Steam these for around 20 mins on a medium flame and they should be done by then.
They taste great with peanut/almond and coconut chutney and alternatively they can be lightly sautéed too, however I love them just steamed.
