Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Sattu (roasted channa flour)
  • 1/2 cup Whole Wheat Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 cup Oil
  • 1/2 cup Curd
  • 1/2 cup Dates Powder
  • 2 Ripe Banana
  • 2 tbsp Choco Chips
  • 2 tbsp Chopped Nuts
  • 1/2 tsp Cardamom Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Vanilla Essence
  • 1/4 cup Milk
  • 2 tbsp Choco Chips

Instructions

  1. Mix all dry ingredients together like Sattu, Whole wheat flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt and sieve them twice or thrice. Put the oven on pre heat for 10 mins.

  2. Seperately mix oil and curd and whisk them together. Then add vanilla essence, cardamom powder , mashed banana and date powder and again give it a nice mix till they are evenly mixed together.

  3. Now gradually mix the dry ingredient into the wet and mix it with light hands.

  4. When all the mixture is complete and its very dry then try to add little milk and adjust the consistency.

  5. Pour the mixture into the baking tray , sprinkle choco-chips and bake for 25mins at 180 degrees. Prick the knife and if it comes out clean then cake is done.  I use 6 *6 inches tin square shaped baking tray.

  6. Let it rest in over for ten minutes before you serve it. I love eating this hot with a cup of milk.
