Jowar Tikki Chat tastes superb even for kids who other won’t have jowar grains in salads. So the initial idea was to make salad from Jowar but turned out that Tikki was a better option.
I love this about evening snacks that you can experiment so much with it and still the options are unlimited. Chats are my favorite and when nothing much , I just make nuts salad or chat. Yes Jowar Tikki Chat also turned out to be an outcome from the salad and it turned out super duper yum sum.
Adding topping is purely your choice depending what you like and prefer. I however love to add nuts, raisins and fruits but you can pick yours. The whole idea of making a Chat and specially this one, tasty and healthy is to use minimal oil but maximum flavours and textures. Yoghurt also adds more moistness in the chat which is required for Jowar Tikkis. The boiled grains of Jowar are still going to be not very mushy hence making a mixture helps in handling Jowar better otherwise eating will be problem for kids.
You can add some green chutney also if you want, but since the tikkis are decently spicy , I skipped green chutney. Well if you enjoy this recipe of Jowar Tikki Chat and want to learn more recipes , here you go for Jowar Recipes.
