Broccoli Salad in Mustard Dressing!
Sounds exotic..isn’t it? Well yes if you love mustard sauce. And though I have never bought one since the bottled ones are loaded with all what I don’t want my body to eat.
But then when I though of creating this recipe, in my mind this tasted like a pickle. Ya in Indian we do add mustard in our mango pickles and many more. That was my first thought around this Broccoli Salad in Mustard Dressing . So began the search for perfect recipe, which is mostly developed as per my personal liking. Hence I always tell people change the proportions as per your taste..most likely you would enjoy mine, but feel free to make amendments.
So ya Mustard is very nutritious and has been part of an Indian house hold since ages. Its not just rich in fibre but also calcium , iron, selenium and hence has anti inflammatory properties too. Though in our Indian cooking adding mustard in tempering is a regular, but you many want to try this Mustard dressing, if you are fond of that little pungent taste.
I love cooking in mustard oil too 🙂
Only thing is , if you are giving it to kids in sandwiches you might have to work on lowering mustard proportion a bit and add more honey to avoid entire pungency. But with some vegetables and home made mayo this would compliment well. So ya do try this Broccoli Salad in Mustard Dressing and make a scrumptious salad.
