These Roasted Nuts and Chocolate Ladoos are infact grain free so while you can add your choice of grain too, but incase someone purely wants to enjoy a nut based ladoo, this is it! So yes, its gluten free but protein and fibre rich. Nuts make sure you get some good fat too . Incase you have kids who don’t like munching nuts, this is your answer. For sweetner , you can use regular dates too, if not dates powder or jaggery.
The roasting of nuts gives it another level of buttery flavour hence I would keep that step mandatory, rest addition of chocolate in these ‘Roasted Nuts and Chocolate Ladoos’ is purely your choice. My son found it super yum and so I was happy to save two to three days of my morning kitchen time for some personal time.
Roasted Nuts and Chocolate Ladoos
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup Almonds
- 1/4 cup Cashew
- 10 Walnuts
- 2 tbsp Pistachio (optional)
- 1 tbsp Cocoa Powder
- 2 tbsp Grated Chocolate
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla Essence
- 1/2 cup Dry Dates Powder or Jaggery Powder
Instructions
Spread all the nuts on a baking tray and bake them for 10 mins at 180 degrees. You can also dry roast them in a pan on slow flame for 5 mins each.
Now while these nuts are still warm add them into the mixer and blend. You might have to pulsate your mixer two to three times.
The nuts will first powder and then ooze out oil and will start becoming little sticky, at this moment add dates powder, cocoa powder, vanilla and chocolate in the blender.
Again mix all thing together evenly. While the mixture is still sticky and warm empty it in a bowl and with greased hands make small ladoos or balls.
You can roll up some chocolate flakes or sprinklers and keep them in refrigerator to become stiff.
Store them in airtight containers and eat them to fulfill all your sweet cravings with some nutty delight.
