If you are regular on this website then you know we focus a lot in making meal time easy and yummy. Mostly the recipes are either fusion or adaption for an easier or healthier version. I have offlate been focusing a lot around 4pm snack time and that’s because it’s this time that kids binge into junk eating or moms are short of ideas.
So making 4PM snack time is a fun activity for me as well, since in real life I get to work on recipe which are kind of approved by my 7 year old too. Now this is why I tried these Lentils and Rice Balls, which is primarily made out of left over dal and rice from the lunch. You can also mix leftover vegetables along with other seasonings and trust me it would be hard for anyone to even guess what it is.
Time to get on the recipe and try your hands on Lentils and Rice Balls.

- 2 tsp Green Coriander
- 1/2 tsp Garam Masala Powder

Instructions
Dried Dal is basically left over dals (lentils) dried till its majority water evaporates and is added in boiled rice and mixed nicely.
To this add some cumin powder, green chilli, onions, chat masala, coriander leaves, garam masala, oats and lemon juice and mix with finger tips, gradually mincing rice along with all the ingredients.
Now wet your palms and make small balls out of these and then make a hole and either stuff grated cheese or small squares cut out of cheese cubes and then roll it back in balls.
Take an appe pan and smear some oil and put these balls into the pan and cook till its crisp from all the sides.
Serve this with chutney . This works best for evening snacks made from left over lunch food.
