Oats & Makhana Bites are here for your Diwali celebrations. These are yummy and super easy to make and offcourse are healthy too. Now making Oats & Makhana Bites has two objectives one offcourse make simple Diwali preparation and second add more nutrition to the festive delights.

Oats & Makhana Bites will for sure be loved by your family and they work well as tiffin snack too. I like packing them with roti rolls to give more interesting flavors to the meal. So before we go any further on explaining this, lets just get to the recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Roasted Oats
  • 1/2 cup Fox Nuts Powder
  • 3 tbsp Jaggery
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp Cardamom
  • 2 tbsp Almond Powder
  • 2 tbsp Cashew Powder
  • 1 tsp Ghee

Instructions

  1. Roast Fox nuts or Makhana powder in ghee for 2-3 mins and then add oats and roast it together.

  2. Now add almond powder , cashew powder and roast it for another 2-3 mins.

  3. Add all of these in a mixer grinder along with cinnamon and cardamon and powder.

  4. Now take a pan and boil 1/2 cup water and add jaggery in boiling water till it melts.

  5. While its still hot add the mixture and mix evenly

  6. Take a greased plate and add the hot mixture and with help of a spatula put it in a thin layer evenly

  7. Cut marks in small square while it is still hot but don't seperate

  8. Now put this in fridge to cool down.

  9. After an hour cut it and serve with some powdered almonds.
