Makhana Raita is a perfect add on to you meal. It not just adds taste but protein too. Yes!! Makhana or Fox nuts are rich in protein and adding them in Raita or Yoghurt add to the protein content existing in the diary product. The taste of Makhana is pretty bland but when flavoured with salt or any other seasoning it goes to the next level. Ingredients
  1. Yoghurt: 2 cups
  2. Makhana: 1/2 cup roasted
  3. Coriander leaves: 2 tbsp chopped
  4. Green chilli :1
  5. Cumin powder: 1 tsp
  6. Salt: as per taste
  7. Curry leaves: 4-5
  8. Onions: 2 tbsp chopped
  9. Oil: 1/4 tsp
Instructions
  1. Make a coarse powder of roasted makhana and keep aside.
  2. Grind coriander and green chilli and mix in the yoghurt.
  3. Now add salt & cumin powder to taste.
  4. Next add the onions and coarse makhana in the yoghut and give it a nice mix.
  5. You can alternatively add coriander paste first to coarse makhana and then to yoghurt too.
  6. Temper the raita with some curry leaves and onions and serve with stuffed rotis.
