The best part of this interesting combination of Beans in Moong Dal is that it is not only tasty but highly nutritious and if you just cook the way I did trust me your kids would love this too.

Ingredients
  1. French Beans: 1 cup finely chopped
  2. Capsicum: 1 chopped
  3. Moong Dal: 2 tbsp soaked for 30 mins in water
  4. Garlic: 4-5 cloves
  5. Asafoetida: ½ tsp
  6. Cumin seeds: 1 tsp
  7. Turmeric powder: ½ tsp
  8. Coriander Powder: 1 tsp
  9. Cumin Powder: 1 tsp
  10. Red Chilli powder: 1tsp
  11. Cardamom: 2
  12. Cinnamon: 1
  13. Garam Masala: ½ tsp
  14. Lemon Juice: 1 tbsp
  15. Salt: as per taste
  16. Oil: ½ tbsp
Instructions
  1. Heat oil in a wok and add Asafoetida and let cumin seeds splutter.
  2. Now add moong daal and sauté it for 5 mins.
  3. At this point add dry masalas like coriander powder, chilli powder, cumin powder and some salt.
  4. Once its cooked for some time add capsicum and chopped beans and give it a good mix.
  5. Add some water and cover the wok till vegetables are cooked.
  6. Now in a mortar add garlic, cinnamon and cardamom and crush it nicely.
  7. Add this crushed mixture , garam masala and lemon in the wok and put of the gas and let it simmer covered.
  8. Serve hot with phulkas
