Dal Ka Dulha

Dal ka Dulha, sounds interesting..isn’t it? I remember how much I laughed when my mom first time made this at home , while dad was travelling. Apparently this was her favorite one pot meal those days and as I grew she happily introduced this to me as well.

I loved it for its simple yet amazing taste. But with time this became part of my memory and then suddenly one day an old friend Vartika reminded me of this recipe. I had to try it and post the recipe. Co-incidentally my husband too was out of town and then it was just me and my son looking for some easy and comfort food.

Dal ka Dulha was then introduced to him. He was so amused with the name and kept asking about the Dulhan..ha ha.

This recipe has its place in many states like Rajasthan, Gujrat but this is how we make it in Uttar Pradesh. I hope next time when you are looking for a simple and tasty recipe which is extremely healthy, you would try this one!
