Water chestnut & Figs Ladoos

Water Chestnut & Figs Ladoos are super easy and something you can easily make during fastings as well. So while its easy and you can make it in a jiffy, I would suggest not to skip Pistachios. Because while Almonds and Cashews are great I feel their is something special about the green nut 🙂

Add a layer over the ladoos of pistachio powder also makes it look pretty. Otherwise they won’t add too much appeal to kids. You make want to drizzle some melted dark chocolate if you wish and while the possibilities are immense, one can’t stop trying out new things.

For me this was first time I was using water chestnut flour and I simply loved it. So this flour has its own earthy flavor hence roasting in ghee helps infact that’s the reason cardamom and pistachios are required to balance the taste. Another twist can be done with little chocolate powder or cocoa powder and giving it a choco flavor all together. So go ahead and try your version and enjoy the healthy happiness.
