Sattu Dosa Wrap

Sattu Dosa Wrap was another experiment I did in my kitchen lab. Ha ha I love calling it lab as then it gives me a feeling of how serious I am about this business of healthy cooking.

If it was just upto me, all I would do is prepare new healthy recipes every day. But then comes the drag to click, edit, compile, write and share. Aah! That is lots of work before you see a recipe. So much so , that sometimes it gets overwhelming too. But my love for RD is pure 🙂

So when I came across this Sattu flour and wanted to be more creative and you must see my other recipe here https://recipedabba.com/cookbook/?s=sattu so you know how much I love experimenting with this flour.

I call it a Dosa Wrap as its basically made from a batter and not a dough. But trust me you would love this whole some Sattu Dosa Wrap and if you plan to skip the filling, feel free to call it just Sattu Dosa. That too tastes great 🙂

  • 5 tbsp Curd
  • 1 tsp Podi Masala (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin Powder
  • 1/2 cup Paneer
  • 1 clove Garlic
  • 1/4 tsp Oregano
  • 1/2 Onion Sliced
  • 1/2 Capsicum Sliced
  • 1/2 Carrot Grated
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 tbsp Oil

Instructions

  1. Mix Sattu, Suji, curd, podi masala, salt and cumin powder and keep aside for 30 mins

  2. Meanwhile in a mixer add paneer, 1 tsp of curd, salt, garlic and oregano and make a paste.

  3. Now after 30 mins add a little water in the sattu mix to get a dosa like consistency. You might need 1/4 cup water for this.

  4. Heat your dosa pan well and then spread the batter in a thin layer like a crepe and sprinkle some oil on sides and centre.

  5. Let this cook on slow till the pan leaves the dosa surface. Now mix vegetables with paneer mixture and add this in the middle of the dosa.

  6. Wrap the dosa from both sides and serve with your favorite dip or chutney.
