Well yes but then you must still go into the recipe to see how to make sure the way it is fixed to retain good nutrition. This is Nutty Chat is flavoursome and every bite has interesting taste and textures. 

You would have good crunch, softness, chewiness all at the same time with mixed sweet, sour and savory flavours. Isn’t that what chats are all about. Another interesting thing is that the recipe is like a child’s play literally so feel free to prepare in a jiffy 🙂

Makhana and other nuts and seeds lying in your pantry can be made useful to make this super beautiful chat. When my son saw me clicking pics, all he did was just wait for me to give him his turn.

Nutty Chat

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Makhana
  • 1 tsp Ghee
  • 1 cup Yoghurt
  • 1 tsp Rose Syrup
  • 10 Raisins
  • 6 Cashew
  • 1 tbsp Chia Seeds
  • 1 tbsp Melon Seeds
  • 2 tbsp Pomegranate
  • 1 tbsp Coriander
  • 1 tbsp Jaggery Powder
  • 1 tsp Lemon Juice
  • 1/2 tsp Chat Masala
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Red Chilli Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Black salt

Instructions

  1. Soak raisins, cashew and melon seeds in water for atleast 1/2 and hour

  2. Take a bowl and mix rose syrup with curd and keep aside.

  3. Heat ghee and roast the makhanas till they are crunchy.

  4. Now all these makhanas in the curd and let it sit in curd for atleast 30 mins so they become soft. You can keep this in refrigerator meanwhile.

  5. In a small bowl mix jaggery, red chilli powder, chat masala, cumin powder, salt , lemon juice and 1 tsp of water and make a slurry like chutney.

  6. Take out the bowl from the refrigerator and add raisins, break cashew roughly, melon seeds and chia seeds and mix well.

  7. Now top this up with the jaggery chutney, fresh coriander and pomegranate seeds and serve chilled.
