Sattu Tikki comes from my love for Sattu. Sattu, also know as poor man’s protein, comes from state of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. People out in North India have this filled up in parathas , Baatis and even make sweet or savory drinks. This is a powerhouse meal option during summers. So while we were up with #RDChallege for #LowCarbDinner , this was one of the recipes I tried. Sattu being high on protein went well, though its not carbohydrates free but then protein content was helpful.

The interesting part is that these Tikkis are, they taste like soft Baatis which go well with Bharta too. However the Sattu Tikki turned out to be very tasty for even my young boy who had it like his evening snack. Infact I love creating recipes which serve everyone in one go, so itavoids working on lot many things for different meals. This Sattu Tikki can go very well in tiffin boxes too and though I teamed it up with Tamarind Chutney, you can use any of your favourites with this Sattu Tikki.
