I love Granola Bars! and can literally eat them day in and day out. So whenever I get an opportunity to try out my hands on it..I allow myself to do it.
However since we were doing #RDChallenge and it was weekend and my son wasn’t supposed to eat junk food, I thought to try these as a treat. Well! He loved them…ate around four in a go…or may be he was too hungry after school 😉
Whatever the case may be, the Granola Bars turned out to be successful for sure and I couldn’t be more happier. So here is the deal…go and check the recipe your self and try out.
Granola Bars
Ingredients
- 8 Dates
- 1 tbsp Raisins
- 1/2 cup Muesli
- 2 tbsp Sunflower Seeds
- 2 tbsp Pumpkin Seeds
- 1 tbsp Chia Seeds
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla Essense
- 1/2 tsp Cinnamon Powder
- 1 tbsp Ghee
Instructions
Take a mixer and make a sticky paste of dates and raisins together along with a drop of vanilla essence. Remember to de-seeds the dates before putting in grinder.
Transfer this in a bowl and keep aside.
Take a dry pan and dry roast the muesli and then all the three seeds one by one.
After roasting transfer them into the bowl with the stick mixture.
Add left over vanilla essence , cinnamon and ghee while the mixture is still hot.
Use your hands to gradually mix all this together so they start binding in one. This should be done with tips of fingers and with gradual rubbing of the ingredients.
Now take a pan and put the butter paper and on that layer this mixture and with fingers press it evenly.
Bake this for 10 mins at 180 degrees C and let it cool down for 2-3 mins.
Next cut them into shapes and let it harden a bit in the refrigerator before you serve it.
The can be stored in air tight container for good 10-15 days.
