Paneer Peda is an accidental recipe, pretty much like paneer itself. So one of the days when I had access of home made paneer and I wasn’t sure what to do, I just though to add some milk powder and make rabri out of it, but then came some more ingredients and what was going to be rabri turned out pedas.Good thing is these Paneer Pedas are calcium rich due to its composition of Paneer and Makhana and a must have for everyone in the family.

This Paneer Peda is quite versatile with flavours, and though here I have used rose, you can pretty much use any of your choice, like kesar or pista too. I used dry rose petals to give it a unique color and that pretty much works very well with these peda which are quite a taste when you have a bite.

Paneer Peda

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Paneer
  • 1/4 cup Roasted Fox nut powder
  • 1 tbsp Milk powder
  • 5 Seedless Dates
  • 1 tbsp Dry Rose Petals
  • 1 drop Rose Water
  • 1 tbsp Gulkand
  • 1 tsp Chopped Almonds
  • 1 tsp Chopped Cashew
  • 2 tbsp Dessicated Coconut

Instructions

  1. Dry roast and powder fox nuts and add it in a mixer with paneer, dates, milk powder and rose petals and make a paste

  2. Now transfer the thick paste on  a bowl and add gulab jal

  3. Now make small balls and stuff gulakand and chopped nuts inside and make it flat as a peda.

  4. Roll this up in dessicated coconut and serve.
