Like always we love meeting inspiring people who have been touching our lives with some amazing work. We happened to come across Tasty Tales , run by Priyadarshini Gupta who is based out of Juhu, Mumbai. Tasty Tales offers authentic Bengali and Bihari food and you would love all what they offer. We met Priyadarshini and asked few questions which she answered in her own style.
From being a corporate professional to home chef , how did the transition happen?
Food has always been a passion. A dream that I have had for almost ever now. I gave up a full time career way back in 2007 to pursue my dreams and passion, but Life took over and the only thing that happened to me was more of Corporate Consulting which ate up all my time. 2014-2015 saw the mushrooming up a lot many start-ups with food like Hola-Chef, Trekurious , Once upon a time in My Kitchen and a dozen Others. This fuelled the transition for me on Hola –Chef , however it still took a year for me to put together a logo , name, FB Page, and then there was no looking back. I continue consulting and I believe that both give me more depth in what I do and make me who I am.

What would you suggest or advice fellow home chefs to create their personal brand?
Be focused, create a logo, don’t depend on phone pics, do a formal photo shoot, use social media.
You were one of the Top 30 contestants in Master Chef India, how was your experience?
The experience was great. The fact that in a country where everyone cooks, you make it to top 30 from a base of 8000, is a great confidence booster. It gave to me an amazing network of great foodies and home cooks, bloggers and food stylists.
