Bathua raita !!
First time when I had Bathua raita, it was just after after my marriage when my mother in law had prepared it for lunch. Before that I had no clue about Bathua raita and infact don't even remember of having plain Bathua. Since then I have been in love with the Bathua raita which is not just nutritious but also tastes great. Infact when my mother in law revealed the recipe of Bathua raita , I was zapped to know how simple it was to make this yummy raita.
Bathua raita goes well with any type of dal or indian curry and even teams up well with stuffed parathas. For me Bathua raita is a great way of introducing nutrition to my family's diet. So lets get into preparing this Bathua raita which goes well with toor daal or even stuffed parathas.
- Bathua Leaves: 1 cup blanched
- Yoghurt: 2 cup
- Black salt: as per taste
- Red chilli powder: 1/2 tsp
- Garlic: 1/2 tsp chopped
- Cumin powder: 1 tsp
- Mash the bathua leaves with hand till they are almost like puree.
- Add this in the yoghurt along with red chilli, garlic, cumin powder and black salt.
- Give it a good mix and serve chilled.
