Papaya Kofta

Papaya is supposedly very good for people who have stomach issues and since it has been recommended to my mom-in-law, I mostly try to keep adding it in my recipes in a way or two. Before Papaya Kofta I also tried my hands on Papaya Halwa which offcourse was quite loved by viewers. So when over a weekend I had to try some Kofta’s , I tried of making Papaya Kofta in a little different gravy. The gravy here used for Papaya Kofta has peanut powder, however you can use cashew or even poppy seeds. Peanut gives a nutty and granular texture to the gravy and also enhances the taste of the gravy.

Gravy is purely your choice however I like it this way and adding some interesting ingredients makes it’s just too delicious.

  10. At this stage add whisked yoghurt and keep mixing so the yoghurt doesn’t curdle.
  11. Pour some water and garam masala and let it come to boil.
  12. Adjust the seasonings and water for consistency and add koftas to the gravy.
  13. Serve hot with bowl of rice or hot chapatis and enjoy this amazing flavor.
