These are the best days for being in Mumbai, with Ganpati celebrations all around the festive mood just keeps your spirits up. While we can't stay away from sweet delights the moment its an indian festival, I thought of trying out another healthy yet tasty recipe this season. Papaya Jaggery Modak here is inspired by one my favorite desserts Papaya Halwa .

Now Papaya offcourse has its own nutrition benefits and is great not just for skin but for stomach and digestive system too. Addition of jaggery gives the sweetness more purity and a unique earthy flavour as you finish every scoop. I also love nuts and loading my desserts with them is my favorite recipe cheat. Now with little twist to the original recipe of Papaya Halwa, I made these beautiful looking modaks with a garnish of powdered almonds. Incase you have kids you can even grated some chocolates to make it little more exciting for them. Here is the recipe for Papaya Jaggery Modak just for you as I wish you #HappyGaneshChathurthi.
