Moong cheese balls

Moong cheese balls are one interesting way to pack healthy and cheese together. Who doesnt like cheese balls but this Moong cheese balls comes with more goodness and less junk rather no junk.

Moong cheese balls here are non fried and we have used Appe Pan to make this golden brown Moong cheese balls. You can add your own flavours to the moong batter eg masala , coriander etc but the combination of moong daal with random cheese cubes filled in it is just super yummy. Kids would love these Moong cheese balls for cheese and mom offcourse for nutrition. You can serve Moong cheese balls for breakfast, in tiffin or evening snacks , I however made them for lunch and had some chilled apple juice with this.

Ingredients
  1. whole moong daal: 1 cup soaked for 3 to 4 hrs
  2. Garlic: 4 -5 cloves
  3. Ginger: 1 inch
  4. Green chilli:1
  5. Salt: to taste
  6. Cumin powder: 1 tsp
  7. Black pepper: 1/2 tsp
  8. Red pepper: 1/2 tsp
  9. Cheese cubes: 1 -2
  10. Yoghurt: 2 tbsp
  11. Onion: 1 fine chopped
  12. Oil: 1 tbsp
Instructions
  1. Grind soaked moong dal, garlic, ginger, chilli , cumin powder, chillipowder and salt in a paste.
  2. Now add yoghurt and give it a good mix and add onions too.
  3. Cut small 5 mm cubes out of the cheese cubes and keep aside.
  4. Heat oil in appe pan and pour some batter and then spread cheese cubes randomly and then again cover it with the batter.
  5. Let it cook for 5 min covered and then turn the appe to the other side.
  6. Once both the sides are cooked serve hot with ketchup or any other dip.
